Rome & Tuscany Escorted Package Tour 2024 2025

10 (or so) Perfect Days of Art, Food, Wine, History &….Fun

This is our most-popular tour every year.

It’s no surprise why-

Rome for its majestic beauty, museums, churches, Vatican city, baroque fountains, marble monuments and hearty food.

Tuscany for its rolling beauty, vineyards, olive groves and art cities like Florence, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Lucca & Pisa.

These trips are for any activity level, and can be adapted to include whatever you’d like to see and whatever activities interest you. We can’t change the weather for you, though. 😉

There is no fixed itinerary. Each Rome & Tuscany tour can be customized to your heart’s content.

Most people people fly in and out of Rome FCO airport, but even that can be changed to accomodate flying into Naples (to add the Amalfi coast) or out of Venice (to include, well – Venice!)

What to See in Rome and Tuscany

What to see depends on your interests. If this is a first trip to Italy, you might want to start with the classics. If you have younger children in the group, you could focus more on outdoor an offbeat visits that the big tour groups skip. And if you have a special interest in Jewish culture, Baroque art, Italian foods and wines, or anything else….just let us know and we will work up a custom itinerary.

Getting Around

We do these tours personally, and most of the touring is in our Mercedes Viano passenger van.

Sometimes we use the Eurostar trains to efficiently cover longer distances (Rome to Florence, or Florence to Venice for example). These trains are clean, punctual and fast (130mph in the countryside!)

Many of the historic parts of Rome, Florence, Siena, Lucca etc are off limits to car traffic, so you’ll be doing some walking. Don’t worry, strolling is more like it.

Destinations to Add

Rome would fit well with either some down time and touring on the Amalfi coast or in the ever more popular Apulia (Puglia) region.

From Tuscany it would be easy to include time in Umbria (Assisi, Spoleto, Perugia) or do a transfer tour for some time in either Venice or Milan & Lake Como.

Its important that if you read this review of Loving Italy to understand that we don’t consider them just great tour guides but our friends. They are extremely professional and we never felt like we were being lectured to or chauffeured around. Although they do a great job of explaining the deep history and culture in Italy and making sure you are safe and welcome. What they are able to accomplish can only come from years of experience and two people who absolutely love Italy..

When to Visit Rome & Tuscany

Spring and Fall are best. Long, warm days give you plenty of time to sightsee. If you are interested in including some time on the water, July and August are also great. And if you prefer smaller crowds, winter is fine for art cities like Rome, Florence, Pisa and Siena.
