Rome in 3 Days – All the Best Highlights
Background
Rome is one of the oldest, most important and majestic cities in the world. It is the hub of Roman Empire, the Catholic Church, and is Italy’s capital.
It has something for everyone — art, architecture, food, fountains, palaces and parks. It would take years to see it all, yet the historic center is suprisingly small — more the size of Barcelona or Prague than London or Paris, the big cities it is often compared to.
Rome is home to the biggest church in Europe (St Peter’s Basilica), an ancient port that resembles Pompeii (Ostia Antica) and some of the greatest museums in the world (the Vatican galleries, Villa Borghese, Capitoline, Barberini & National Museums).
Roman food is a blend of all the best of the country’s cuisines, and you can eat outside much of the year. Kids have lots of stuff to climb on, and parks to run around in.

Things Our Clients Have Liked
The Pantheon
One of the best-preserved monuments from the ancient Roman world. It’s poured concrete dome and 33′ oculus is one of the symbols of how the Romans excelled at construction.
The Colosseum and Roman Forum
Villa Borghese
Small, outstanding private gallery of baroque and ancient art set inside a beautiful public park.
Vatican museums & Sistine Chapel
The heart of Catholic Christianity, a sovereign state, an absolutely spectacular art collection and the home of St Peter’s Basilica and Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel….how could you go wrong?
Ostia Antica
Rome’s ancient port, similar to Pompeii…but better in some ways. The best way to see an intact ancient city, followed by a great seafood lunch in the shadow of a Renaissance castle!
Guided 2-hr orientation drive
Cover distances in a couple hours that would take a week on foot, taking photos, getting your questions answered, and making a plan for the rest of your time in Rome.
Catacombs
The Christians buried their dead in long tunnel-like cemeteries built under the greatest road of all time — the Via Appia Antica. Only a few miles from the Colosseum, it is as quiet and evocative as it was 4oo years ago.
