60,000 olive trees, pristine sea, Norman castles and one of Italy’s tastiest cuisines

Madonna vacations there, the New York Times writes about it and Travel & Leisure magazine picked it their Top Travel Destination in the World. The WORLD. Yes, it is really that good!

Here is an article from Harper’s Bazaar that lists the 27 most beautiful places in Italy — several of them are in Puglia

Best Time to Visit Puglia 2022

Puglia has mild winters and hot summers — but has the massive and beautiful Adriatic coast to cool off in. So all in all, Puglia is a great vacation destination all-year-round. The longer days from May-September allow for more sightseeing by daylight; in the winter months things are quieter but sunny and warm.

Best Places to Visit in Puglia 2022

A short and very partial list of places our travelers have enjoyed include:

  • Alberobello and its “trulli” — the typical conical stone dwellings
  • Bari – a beautiful port city and capitol of the region
  • Ostuni – the “white lady” named after its whitewashed architecture
  • Monopoli – a port city with some of the best restaurants in Puglia
  • Lecce – the “Florence of the South” because of its incredible baroque architecture
  • San Michele Gargano – the site of an important shrine built into a cave high above the sea

Best Places to Stay in Puglia

This region of Italy has almost no large or chain hotels, only small boutique resorts and charming bed-and-breakfasts. Many are on the property of an old “masseria”, or hacienda, that has been tranformed in modern times into a comfortable resort with wifi, pool, olive trees, luscious grounds etc

All of the accomodations that we use have been hand-picked by us and are proven values, as our customers attest.
